AI tutor or tuition? An honest comparison
Classmate AI is an AI tutor, not live tuition with a human teacher. Here is how the two compare:
| Classmate AI | Home or online tuition | |
|---|---|---|
| What it costs | Under ₹11 a day on the yearly plan, Maths and Science together | A monthly fee, usually per subject |
| When you can get help | Any time, on phone, tablet or laptop | At class times |
| Pace | Your own: repeat a step as often as you need | Set by the class or the tutor's schedule |
| Follows your syllabus | Your ICSE or NCERT chapter | Depends on the tutor |
| Makes you think | One hint at a time until you solve it | Yes, with a good tutor |
| Weak topics | Tracked chapter by chapter in the SWOT report | If the tutor tracks them |
| Updates for parents | Daily digest and weekly report | Occasional updates |
When tuition may suit your child better: if they need a person to keep them on schedule, find it hard to work alone on a screen, or need subjects we don't cover. Many families use both: tuition once a week and the AI tutor for practice and doubts in between.
